Professional Experience
John Daniels is the Chairman of Quarles & Brady LLP. He has extensive experience in serving national, regional, local and governmental owners and investors in real estate. His experience includes:
- Significant involvement in some of the most complex real estate redevelopment projects, including representing the largest property owner in connection with the redevelopment of the Midwest Airlines Center and representing the largest property owner in connection with the redevelopment of the Bradley Sports Center.
- Serving as lead counsel for major institutions both in the financing and the disposition of commercial office space. He serves as national real estate counsel for Philip Morris Capital Corporation and has represented a number of major corporations on their real estate developments throughout the U.S., including General Electric Capital Corporation, Xerox Corporation and Kraft Foods.
- Working on major public/private ventures, including those associated with higher education. He served as lead advisor to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in connection with a redevelopment of a several hundred thousand square foot project and other redevelopment projects in several major cities.
- Representing clients in commercial and office development and lease negotiation. He served as counsel for the developer on the Grand Avenue project which, when developed, was the largest downtown retail redevelopment in the State of Wisconsin. He also served as counsel to Midtown Mall, the largest urban redevelopment project in Milwaukee, which was a substantial renewal, renovation and adaptive use project.
