Quarles & Brady Announces New Associates for 2010
MILWAUKEE, WIS. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that the following associates joined the Firm:
Milwaukee
Allison E. Cimpl-Wiemer joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Prior to joining Quarles & Brady, Allison was an extern with the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s office and volunteered at the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee. Allison received her law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2009 and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 2006.
Alexander J. Gore is the newest associate joining the Public Finance Group. Alex received both his law and undergraduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2009 and 2006, respectively.
Luke D. Kohtala joins the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Luke received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2009 and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Khalaf M. Khalaf is the newest associate joining the Product Liability group. Khalaf received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2009 and his B.S. in Political Science from Marquette University in 2006.
Christopher S. Russell joins the Corporate Services Practice Group at Quarles & Brady. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in 2006 and received his law degree in 2009.
Andrew T. Monfre joins the Firm’s Corporate Services Group. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse and received his law degree from Marquette University in 2009.
Melissa A. McCord joins the Corporate Services Practice Group at Quarles & Brady. She earned her B.A. in Journalism in 1997 from Ohio University and her law degree in 2009 from Marquette University.
Christopher M. Scaperlanda joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation group. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006 from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from the University of Texas in 2009.
Leah J. Stoecker joins the Commercial Litigation Practice Group at Quarles & Brady. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her law degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Eric J. Van Schyndle joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation group. He received his B.A. in 2002 from Marquette University and spent four years working for the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for the House of Representatives. In 2009, Eric received his law degree from the University of Minnesota.
Chicago
Kevin J. Burns joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Kevin majored in Economics and Psychology, and received his B.S. degree in 2005 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his law degree from the University of Iowa in 2009. Prior to beginning work at Quarles, Kevin gained litigation experience volunteering in the Torts Division at the City of Chicago.
Brooke Krekow joins the Commercial Litigation Group at Quarles & Brady. She received her B.A. in American Cultural Studies from Whitman College in 2002 and her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 2009. While attending law school, Brooke worked in the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Center on Wrongful Convictions and Federal Criminal Appellate Clinic. She also externed with Lambda Legal and volunteered as a mediator in small claims court.
Shannon F. O’Boye joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1998 and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2009.
Madison
Joseph T. Hanes joins the Health Law Group at Quarles & Brady. Joe received his B.A. degree from Macalester College in 2003 and his law degree,
magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2009.
Matthew J. Splitek joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1999 and his law degree from Yale University in 2007. After graduating law school, Matthew spent two years as the law clerk to Shirley Abrahamson, Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Naples
Marshall P. Bender joins the Commercial Litigation Group at Quarles & Brady. Marshall is originally from Sarasota, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Christian College in 1999 and his law degree from the University of Florida in 2009. While attending the University of Florida, he was a member of the
Florida Law Review.
Philip M. Bresson joins the Firm’s Corporate Services Group. Phil received his B.S. degree in Finance from Grove City College in 2005 and his law degree from the University of Florida in 2009.
Phoenix
Mohammad Alipour joins the Commercial Litigation Group at Quarles & Brady. Mohammad received his B.A. degree in from the University of Iowa in 2001, with a double major in Biochemistry and Philosophy, and a minor in Chemistry. He received his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2009.
Bryan D. Treglia joins the Intellectual Property Group at Quarles & Brady. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1997. He subsequently worked in various engineering and management positions at Intel Corporation until 2007. Bryan earned law degree from Arizona State University in 2009, where he served as Executive Editor of
Jurimetrics, The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology.
Lyzzette M. Bullock joins the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish from Wellesley College, and her law degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Quarles & Brady, Lyzzette clerked for the Honorable Donn G. Kessler on the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division I.
Tucson
Scott S. Simonson joins the Commercial Litigation Group at Quarles & Brady. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Oregon in 1994, his Master's of Journalism from UC - Berkeley in 2001 and his law degree from the University of Arizona in 2009. Scott has worked as a newspaper reporter and editor in Arizona, Georgia, California and Oregon.
