Quarles & Brady Attorney Receives Center Of Influence Award
 

PHOENIX, AZ — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that Karen Dickinson, a partner with the firm's Intellectual Property Practice, was selected as one of the first recipients of the Arizona Business Magazine's "Center of Influence Award." This award is given to a lawyer who has positively impacted, guided and provided consultation to Arizona businesses.

Ms. Dickinson is co-chair of the firm's Technology Law Group as well as co-chair of its China Law Group. She has extensive experience in international and technology transactions, as well as intellectual property and e-commerce legal matters and is Chair of the Arizona District Export Council, a non-profit organization whose members are appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to help advise Arizona businesses seeking to expand international business, and to advise and assist the Arizona District Office of the U.S. Commercial Services. Ms. Dickinson also serves on the Greater Phoenix Economic Council International Leadership Committee and is on the Boards of Sias University Foundation, a non-profit organization, which supports the first American-owned university in the People's Republic of China, and Through Each Others Eyes, a non-profit that promotes cross-cultural understanding via the medium of photography.

In 2007, Ms. Dickinson assisted Arizona in becoming the only State with a long-term cooperative relationship with the Shanghai Women's Federation, and was part of a delegation to Shanghai that delivered Governor Janet Napolitano's Proclamation creating the relationship between the Federation and the Arizona Governor's Office for Women. A magna cum laude law graduate of Arizona State University School of Law and a cum laude graduate of Duke University, she was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in 1994 and is a former member of the Fulbright Commission, UK/Ireland Review Committee.
