Quarles & Brady Attorneys Named Best Lawyers' 2010 Lawyers of the Year

John T. Bannen, a partner with the Firm’s Trusts and Estates practice, has been named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Milwaukee Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Bannen focuses his practice on estate planning and probate matters for individuals, small business owners and professionals, marital property issues and agreements, and independent review and evaluation of life insurance and annuity products. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Thomas and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, his LL.M. in Taxation from DePaul University, and his law degree from Marquette University Law School.
Andrew M. Barnes, a partner with the Firm's Corporate Services practice, has been named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Milwaukee Banking Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Barnes has a business law practice, with an emphasis on commercial financings, out-of-court restructurings and business bankruptcies. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Roger K. Ferland, a partner with the Firm’s Environmental practice, has been named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Phoenix Environmental Lawyer of the Year. He is Chair of Quarles & Brady’s Clean Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability practice, and has practiced in the areas of environmental and natural resources law in both the public and private sector since 1975. He was recently elected Chairman of the Board of Audubon Arizona, and will continue as Co-chair of the Science and Policy Committee. He was listed in the Arizona Business Journal's “Best of the Bar” and “Who's Who in Arizona Business,” and was listed in Chambers USA (only Arizona Environmental attorney with Chambers’ highest “Star” ranking). He received his bachelor’s degree from Lewis & Clark College, magna cum laude, and his law degree from Duke University, with distinction.
P. Robert Moya, of counsel with the Firm’s Corporate Services practice, has been named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Phoenix Corporate Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Moya’s practice focuses on middle-market, and emerging entrepreneurial and growth companies. He is listed in Chambers USA (2003-present: Corporate/M&A), and was selected as a Southwest Super Lawyer (2007-present, Mergers & Acquisitions). Roy L. Prange Jr., a partner with the Firm's Commercial Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights practice, has been named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Madison Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Lawyer of the Year. He practices in the areas of commercial and business litigation involving contract and other disputes — frequently involving lending relationships. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, his M.A. degree from Ohio State University, and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Eric J. Van Vugt, a partner with the Firm's Commercial Transactions Litigation practice, has been named the Best Lawyers' 2010 Milwaukee Bet-the-Company Litigator of the Year. He specializes in professional liability, insurance coverage and product liability matters. He received his B.A. degree from Calvin College, and his law degree from Marquette University Law School.
