Quarles & Brady Continues Chicago Growth, Adds Health Law Attorney
CHICAGO, ILL. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that
Lisa J. Acevedo has joined the Firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Health Law Group.
Ms. Acevedo’s arrival represents the latest addition to the Firm’s Chicago office as Quarles continues its expansion in the Chicago market. Quarles & Brady has added 13 attorneys to its Chicago office in 2010.

Ms. Acevedo provides health regulatory and transactional advice and general counsel to clients in virtually all aspects of health care. She counsels clients on compliance with statutes and regulations impacting companies doing business in the health care industry, provides advice on related guidelines, and offers strategic counsel in the areas of federal health privacy laws. She has written several articles and delivered a number of speeches on privacy and security matters, including HIPAA compliance as well as health care fraud and abuse, Stark, tax-exempt issues and FDA issues. She has been an adjunct instructor of health law at Benedictine University in its Master’s in Public Health graduate program.
Ms. Acevedo earned her law degree from the DePaul University College of Law and her
Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University, Chicago.
