PHOENIX, ARIZ. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that Geoffrey Ossias has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Corporate Services group of the firm’s Phoenix office.

Mr. Ossias has more than 10 years of experience working with emerging growth companies, primarily in the Internet, biotech and life sciences sectors. He has also represented financial services and real estate companies. His practice focuses on registered and exempt offerings, ongoing compliance with federal securities laws and general corporate matters. Mr. Ossias’ transactional experience includes IPOs, secondaries, venture capital financings, M&A and going-private transactions.

Prior to beginning his private practice of law, Mr. Ossias held senior management positions responsible for corporate and business development with MyPoints.com, a publicly traded Internet marketing firm (Nasdaq: MYPT) acquired in 2001 by an affiliate of United Airlines. Mr. Ossias also served as Senior Counsel with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Corporation Finance where he was responsible for reviewing filings under the 1933 and 1934 Acts, including IPOs by major REITs and mortgage REITs. He has extensive experience with equity lines and PIPEs.

He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, his M.J. from the University of California at Berkeley and his A.B. from Vassar College.
