Quarles & Brady's Akbar Receives "Forty Under 40" Award from Phoenix Business Journal
PHOENIX, ARIZ. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Wendy Kemp Akbar, an attorney in the Firm’s Phoenix office, was selected as a “Forty Under 40” honoree by the
Phoenix Business Journal.
Ms. Akbar represents clients in all aspects of complex commercial litigation with a focus on intellectual property litigation, particularly patent litigation, trademark, trade dress and copyright litigation, trade secret, false advertising and licensing disputes. In 2009, she was recognized by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce as its 2009 Young Professional Athena Award winner. She also serves as chair of Arizona State Bar Committee for Persons with Disabilities in the Legal Profession. She earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her bachelor’s degree,
with high honors, from Swarthmore College.
