Beth Behling began working at Quarles & Brady LLP in June 1991 and has been in the Intellectual Property field since 1993 in the capacity of both a legal secretary and paralegal. Beth also has experience in Intellectual Property litigation, as well as Product Liability litigation. Beth is experienced in both the patent and trademark field.
Beth has worked at Quarles & Brady for over 20 years and has worked on many aspects of Intellectual Property. Currently, her emphasis is in the area of patents, both foreign and domestic. Beth also has extensive experience in areas such as:
- Client relations (reporting correspondence and assisting clients in any range of requests.
- Experience working with foreign and domestic associates.
- Patent due diligence work.
- U.S. patent (utility and design) prosecution work.
- Design patent searching.
- Trademark prosecution and (limited) domestic trademark searching.
- Preparation of USPTO and internal documents for patent filings.
- Electronic filings with the USPTO.
- Maintaining client's patent rights by payment of foreign annuities.
- Assistance in Intellectual Property litigation.
- Special projects for various aspects of Intellectual Property (spreadsheets, charts, preparation of materials for client meetings.
- Searching using databases including, but not limited to, Delphion, Trademark.com, USPTO, Canadian Patent Office website.
- WORD and Excel in document preparation and spreadsheets, charts, flowcharts; client portfolio.
- Preparation of client deadline charts.
- Working with draftsman to prepare drawings.
- Oversight of several client specific portfolios encompassing the entire patent prosecution process.
- Intake, maintenance and review of files for status.
- Management of docket responsibilities.
