Introduction to Quarles & Brady06/15/16
My first few weeks at Quarles & Brady have been awesome. I was a bit nervous about the transition from law school life to firm life but the attorneys and staff members here have helped make it feel seamless. So far the summer program has offered a great mix of challenging work and fun social events, and I am looking forward to what's in store for the rest of the summer!
It has been remarkably easy to feel like a part of this office so quickly. Since day one, Quarles attorneys have been stopping by my door to say "Hello." Everyone who works here understands how awkward working in a new place can be and actively tries to get you beyond that point. I've appreciated how many doors are open here and how generous the attorneys have been with their time. I rarely feel too concerned about asking questions and I attribute that to the relaxed, fun, and understanding culture of Quarles.
My first few weeks at Quarles & Brady have been fantastic. The entire office has been supportive, inspiring, and fun. Although everyone works hard and stays busy, they are always willing to lend a hand. I have received exposure to a variety of legal topics, and the firm has been helpful by providing projects and shadowing experiences in my preferred areas of law. So far, it has been a great learning experience.
As a second-time summer associate in the Phoenix office, the introduction was even better the second time around. My first few weeks have included catching up with many familiar faces as well as getting to know some new ones. I have already worked on a few interesting projects, attended multiple out-of-office training opportunities, and attended the epic Phoenix scavenger hunt event. I am grateful to be back in this warm, collegial (and fun) atmosphere for another summer.
As a 1L, I wasn't sure what to expect going into my first job at a big firm. Frankly, it was a bit intimidating. However, after meeting the other Summer Associates and getting to know so many new people at Quarles, the anxiety quickly subsided. The firm has done a wonderful job making us feel included in the Q&B family, and I am very excited for the rest of this summer! Also, the Starbucks machines in Quarles Commons are a great way to start the day and also a great way to meet people while waiting for your fresh cup of coffee.
My summer associate experience has been wonderful. Everyone has gone out of their way to make me feel valued and part of the team. The work atmosphere is very welcoming and collaborative. I have learned a lot in these first three weeks and I've attended fun social events. I can't think of a better way to spend the summer.
From the first meeting, Quarles is welcoming. It feels like developing summer associates is their #1 priority. Partners, associates, and staff, all show that they are willing to invest in your success. Whether this is your first job or not, they give you advice and resources that ensure everyone can succeed.
Q&B did a great job of introducing the summer associates to members of the staff and attorneys of all levels. The first week we had lunches with our liaison, our reader, and the rest of the summer associates. Everyone was welcoming and genuinely excited to work with us at the firm.
My introduction to Quarles & Brady has been anything but boring. I am excited to come to the office every day. The staff and attorneys are so welcoming and they make you feel like you belong right away! Following training, we jumped right into real legal work, getting hands on experience and opportunities to learn about different practices and different attorneys. I have never felt overly intimidated or uncomfortable with the work, and I know the assigning attorney is available to help me through it, if needed.
It has not been all work though. We have had several opportunities to have lunch with nearly all of the attorneys in the Indianapolis office, which has been so much fun. We also attended an Indianapolis Indians game with the office. The game was a great opportunity to better get acquainted with the attorneys and staff and have fun! It has been a great first couple of weeks and I am looking forward to the rest of the summer.
My first three weeks at Quarles & Brady have flown by! I was warmly welcomed by the Naples office and have already researched many different areas of law. Everyone at Quarles is willing to lend a helping hand. The teamwork atmosphere of the Naples office is palpable.
My introduction to Quarles & Brady Milwaukee was exhilarating. A few meetings, a welcome reception, and quickly a bunch of projects that were interesting, challenging, and meaningful. The summer associate committee is warm and supportive. We know we are in good hands.
The first two weeks here at the Quarles & Brady Chicago office have certainly exceeded my expectations. From the first moment I walked through the office doors I felt that everyone seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. Since starting at the firm, I have attended numerous social events, made many connections, and have worked on very interesting legal work. It truly feels like everyone at Quarles & Brady wants the summer associates to succeed!
I am so excited to be spending my summer at Quarles & Brady! The firm has really impressed me with their orientation and training programs. They are genuinely invested in their summer program and it shows - interesting work projects, great attorneys and mentors, and fantastic staff! Summer at Quarles & Brady really is a top-notch experience!
I was initially overwhelmed by the kindness the attorneys and staff showed the summer associates on our first day. The firm even provided us a welcome breakfast so we could introduce ourselves to the entire firm on the first day. The people at Quarles have been genuinely invested in my success. Partners and associates alike stop by my office to see how I am doing. Everyone has an open-door policy, and I have been encouraged to ask questions or just pop in to say hello. I could not be happier with my experience so far, and I look forward to what the rest of the summer has in store.
