Quarles & Brady's Costello Appointed to Florida Chamber Foundation's Six Pillars Caucus System

NAPLES, FLA. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that
Patrick R. Costello, an attorney in the Firm’s Naples office, has been appointed to the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Six Pillars Caucus System, an expanded research and policy development system designed to garner the input of local and regional subject matter experts.

“Florida is moving toward its next economy, and the Foundation’s new Caucus system will prove to be an invaluable framework to help get us there,” said Jeff Lyash, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Progress Energy Florida. “I would like to personally thank the volunteers who have been selected to serve on each Caucus for their time commitment and offering their invaluable expertise towards this great cause.”

Costello concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, including disputes involving business and real estate transactions, financial services, insurance coverage, golf and boating clubs, homeowners’ associations, nursing and retirement homes, partnerships and limited liability companies, noncompetition agreements, debtor-creditor relations and estate planning. He has served as lead counsel on numerous trials and appellate matters in state and federal courts across the country. Mr. Costello also is skilled in electronic discovery, internal investigations and dispute resolution, and has successfully represented clients in mediations and arbitrations in the commercial law context. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. degree from Manhattan College.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the Foundation to assist in the future of Florida’s economic development,” said Mr. Costello. “My involvement with the Business Climate & Competitiveness Caucus will allow me to use my experience in commercial and business litigation to contribute to the Caucus’s goals of economic efficiency, risk management, taxation, insurance, legal reform, regulation, property rights and credit markets.”

The Florida Chamber Foundation is a problem solver and research organization, working in partnership with state business leaders to promote a vibrant Florida economy. Last year, the Foundation piloted the Caucus system with the successful operation of the Innovation & Economic Development Caucus. The platform is now being broadened to include a Caucus for each of the Six Pillars. More information may be found at www.flfoundation.com.
