United Way of Greater Milwaukee is an independently-governed 501(c)3 nonprofit organization connected to a network of more than 1,400 local United Ways through United Way Worldwide. United Way advances the common good as Greater Milwaukee’s largest community-based investor in Education, Income and Health – the building blocks for a good quality of life. From 2006 - 2014, David was a member of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee Emerging Leaders Council. He served as co-chair from 2009 to 2012. In 2015, David is serving as a co-chair for United Way’s Leadership Society.

For 37 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As part of the nation's largest donor and volunteer-supported mentoring network, they make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6-18, in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. David has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee since 2010. He currently sits on the Board of Directors as Secretary.
