Dawn R. Caldart, Esq., is the Director of Pro Bono and Professional Development at Quarles & Brady, overseeing pro bono work in all Quarles & Brady offices and managing the design and implementation of attorney development programs.
A licensed attorney in Wisconsin, Dawn has experience in government, private practice, and nonprofit legal services. Prior to joining Quarles & Brady, she worked for Milwaukee County as the Executive Director of the Milwaukee Justice Center, a program that utilizes volunteers to help unrepresented litigants navigate the court system. Dawn was a partner at a civil rights and employment law firm in Milwaukee and has served as the Director of Legal Services at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, where she targeted HIV and AIDS-related discrimination through litigation, education, and advocacy.
Dawn earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Purdue University. She has a long history of serving the underserved—she received Marquette University Law School's 2014 Howard B. Eisenberg Service Award and in 2010 was selected by the Wisconsin Law Journal as a Leader in the Law for demonstrating outstanding leadership, vision, and legal expertise in Wisconsin's law community.
