Debra (Debi) Miller, APR is the Director of Public Relations & Marketing at Quarles & Brady. In this role she directs and supervises the firm's internal and external communications functions. She is responsible for developing and implementing firmwide integrated marketing communication strategies to enhance the firm's visibility, nationally and internationally, and increase awareness among its target audiences. In addition, she works closely with the firm's executive leadership, practice group leaders, key partners and administrative staff to develop practice-specific strategic communications and business development plans designed to accomplish the firm's financial goals.
In her career, Debi has received several honors in the marketing-communications community, including Hampton University's Scripps Howard Journalism and Communications School Hall of Fame Inductee; PRSA 2006 GoldAnvil Recipient; PRSA 2006 D. Parke Gibson Award for advancing diversity and multiculturalism in the profession; PRSA National Chapter, Hall of Fame Inductee, 1999; International Association of Business Communicators: Silver Quill Award of Excellence, 1998; National Association of Market Developers: "Communicator of the Year," 1998.
She received her bachelor's degree in Mass Media/Journalism from Hampton University, her master's in Public Relations/Journalism from The Ohio State University and her Ed.D in Adult Education and Human Resources Development from Florida International University.
