Professional Experience
Doug Knox is a commercial litigator whose practice involves a wide range of disputes spanning the banking, franchise, insurance, real estate and construction industries. His experience includes: representing franchisors and employers enforcing non-competition and other restrictive covenants; defending lenders from unfair lending practices claims; defending franchisors from claims of wrongful termination, business tort and breach of contract; defending insurance brokerage firms from claims of negligence and breach of fiduciary duty; representing developers and contractors in contractual and construction disputes; and defending companies and officers sued for violating securities laws.
Mr. Knox has significant experience with jury and bench trials, evidentiary and summary judgment hearings, arbitrations and mediations. He has also worked on appeals throughout Florida and in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
