Biography

Eric Fuglsang is the Chicago Office Chair of the Real Estate Group and practices primarily in the area of commercial real estate. His practice focuses on commercial leasing and asset management, commercial real estate finance, and commercial sales and acquisitions. Mr. Fuglsang has extensive experience in the representation of landlords, institutional owners, asset managers, investors, developers, REITs, and tenants in all facets of commercial leasing and asset management activities; the representation of both lenders and borrowers in commercial financing transactions, including modifications and workouts of troubled loans; and the representation of sellers and purchasers in connection with the acquisition and disposition of commercial office, industrial, mixed-use, and retail properties (both individually and on a portfolio basis), including distressed assets.   • Served as outside lease and license counsel to the City of Chicago in connection with the preparation and negotiation of lease and license agreements between the City and a number of airlines for the relocation, construction, and leasing of their respective air freight cargo and vehicle maintenance facilities, as well as the relocation, construction, and leasing of a general satellite fueling system, all at Chicago O’Hare International Airport as part of the O’Hare Modernization Program.
  • Served as outside lease and license counsel to the City of Chicago in connection with the preparation and negotiation of lease and license agreements between the City and a number of rental car companies for the construction and leasing of a consolidated rental car facility and related improvements at Chicago Midway International Airport.
