Business Law Training: Working with REITs – What Operating Businesses Need to Know
REITs continue to grow as an entity of choice in some circles. Interacting with a REIT in a business transaction can require the parties to deal with REIT-specific issues that simply do not arise in other transactions. In addition, when operating companies are seeking to monetize their real estate assets, having a REIT involved in the transaction may provide unique opportunities.We will examine the REIT basics and explore the various structures that are being used in leasing, joint ventures, and real estate monetization strategies that involve REITs.

Who Should Attend?
This seminar is designed for in-house counsel and other interested corporate executives. Clients attending will receive a CLE report at the end of the year for all earned credit.
We will apply for one hour of continuing legal education credit in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, and Wisconsin. We will issue a Certificate of Attendance to Arizona attendees as the State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.
