What Mortgage Lenders Need to Know about the Newest Claim Forms
Program Overview: The proof of claim form for use in individuals' bankruptcy cases recently became significantly more complicated for lenders whose collateral is debtors' primary residences. This webinar will provide an overview of best practices relating to the new proof of claim forms for residential mortgages that went into effect December 1, 2015, including a description of the changes, challenges that lenders and servicers will face in completing the new forms, and ways to avoid prejudicing themselves in individuals' bankruptcy cases when providing information on the new forms.
Time: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. (AZ/Mountain)
Who Should Attend: In-house counsel, in-house paralegals and other interested professionals working for mortgage lenders or mortgage loan servicers who face involvement in individual Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
We will apply for 1.0 hour of continuing legal education credit in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, and Wisconsin. We will issue a Certificate of Attendance to Arizona attendees as the State Bar of Arizona does not approve or accredit CLE activities for the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirement.
If you are member of another jurisdiction that does not honor CLE credit from AZ, FL, IL, IN, VA, or WI, we will be happy to provide the materials needed in order for you to apply for CLE credit. Please contact Donna Key, our CLE coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
