George E. Purdy, Partner

Biography

George Purdy is a member of the firm's Product Liability Practice Group. He focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, products liability and defense of class actions.

He regularly presents on topics including risk management, claims investigation, and direct action litigation to clients. His recent experience includes:

  • Representation of a specialty lines insurance agency in a multi-million dollar coverage dispute in federal district court
  • Representation of a large mutual life insurance company in numerous state court market conduct lawsuits
  • Representation of a municipal school corporation before the Indiana Tax Court concerning the State of Indiana's denial of its school construction project
  • Representation of a manufacturer of construction equipment in product liability lawsuits in state and federal courts throughout the United States
  • Representation of a mutual life insurance company in a national market conduct class action
  • Representation of a large property and casualty insurer in a national class action
  • Representation of an electronics manufacturer in an intellectual property dispute in federal district court
