Three Quarles & Brady Attorneys Awarded by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services
CHICAGO, ILL. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that three of the Firm’s Chicago attorneys have been selected as recipients of three honorable awards by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (“CVLS”). The awards were presented at CVLS’ 2010 annual ceremony on November 10, 2010.
Steven V. Hunter - Board of Directors’ Award
Eric D. Ledbetter - Distinguished Service Award
Donna L. Otis - Distinguished Service Award
Steven V. Hunter received the Board of Directors’ Award for contributing time and talent to help CVLS fulfill its mission. He is a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group and has first-chair experience representing national and multinational companies in disputes involving complex business, banking and finance transactions, construction disputes, intellectual property disputes and catastrophic product liability defense. Mr. Hunter received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degree from Brown University.
Eric D. Ledbetter received the Distinguished Service Award for his work and dedication to the Chinese American Service League Legal Clinic. He is a member of the Firm’s Immigration Group and specializes in complex immigration matters with an emphasis on business visas for prominent individuals and the employees of corporate clients. He has broad experience with all types of nonimmigrant visas as well as permanent residency statuses based on PERM labor certification, multinational management, outstanding research and extraordinary ability. He earned his law degree from UCLA and his undergraduate degree from Indiana University.
Donna L. Otis received the Distinguished Service Award for her work in the Adult Guardian Ad Litem program. She is a member of the Firm’s Trusts & Estates Group. Her experience includes preparing wills and trusts; financial and health care powers of attorney; traditional bypass trust and marital deduction planning, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, probate of decedents’ and disabled adults’ estates and trust administration; and Guardian Ad Litem for minors’ and adult estates. She earned her law degree from John Marshall Law School and her undergraduate degree from Roosevelt University.
