Janet M. Dodds, Paralegal


Janet Dodds is an Advanced Certified Paralegal with more than 20 years of paralegal and trial experience. She obtained her AAS degree in paralegal studies from Tyler Junior College in 1992. In 1997, she earned the Certified Paralegal designation from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) following a five part examination on the subjects of Communications, Ethics, Judgment and Analytical Ability, Legal Research, Contracts, Business Law, Administrative Law and Civil Litigation. In 2015, she became an Advanced Certified Paralegal after complying with further rigorous education and examination requirements of NALA. Janet was the second paralegal in the State of Texas to obtain an advanced certification in E-Discovery.

Janet has prepared for and attended 17 trials at both Federal and State Court levels. She has experience with jury selection and witness preparation. She has also attended depositions, mediations and trials as a witness in her role as a paralegal for a large financial corporation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in large litigation firms in Dallas, Texas. She has extensive experience in the following areas:
