John J. Peterburs has served as the Executive Director for the law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP since 1991.  Quarles & Brady is a national firm of over 400 attorneys with offices in Chicago Illinois; Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin; Naples Florida; and Phoenix and Tucson Arizona.  As Executive Director, he oversees all business and administrative support functions of the Firm including business development, facilities, finance, human resources, information and technology, marketing and office services.  John received his Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Marquette University in 1998, Masters of Science Degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1976 and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Accounting from Christian Brothers University in 1971. 

John is active in various community organizations in Milwaukee serving as a trustee on the Milwaukee Public Policy Forum, President of the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Teacher Education Center, and Seeds of Health, Inc. which operates Charter Schools for elementary and secondary students.  In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor at Marquette University teaching various courses in administrative leadership and business management at the graduate level.  Prior to joining Quarles & Brady LLP, John served as the Secretary/Business Manager of the Milwaukee Public Schools from 1981 to 1991. He has held various other administrative positions in the public education system from 1971 to 1981.  He has also consulted with numerous large urban school districts on various matters including restructuring of administrative functions.
