Professional Experience
Jonathan Stone focuses his practice as a patent agent on preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, and conducting reviews in matters related to patentability in the medical device and medical imaging arts.

Technical Areas of Experience
Mr. Stone’s technical experience includes research in the field of magnetic resonance imaging in an academic setting. Additionally, Mr. Stone has prepared and prosecuted patent applications related to:
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods for data acquisition, image reconstruction, and image processing in MR angiography; MR elastography (MRE); MR guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS); MR spectroscopy; and functional, diffusion, perfusion, and hyperpolarized gas MRI.

  • Parallel MRI methods for parallel MRI image reconstruction and parallel transmission radiofrequency pulse design and coil operation.

  • MRI hardware, including radiofrequency coils and MR elastography drivers.

  • X-ray computed tomography (CT) and fluoroscopy methods for data acquisition, image reconstruction, artifact suppression, and image processing in a variety of clinical applications.

  • Ultrasound methods, including focused ultrasound therapy, vibroacoustography, shear wave dispersion ultrasound vibrometry, and non-destructive testing.

  • Fluorescence and reflectance instrumentation software and hardware.

  • Radiation therapy treatment planning systems and methods.

  • Medical imaging instrumentation software and hardware in other imaging modalities, including PET, SPECT, spectroscopy, and others.

  • Medical information systems.
