  • Representing a Fortune 500 company against multimillion-dollar claims arising from the client’s decision to not renew a significant vendor relationship. After successful dismissal motions, the matter was settled on business terms that involved no payment and actually saved the client money.
  • Representing Fortune 500 company against 10-figure claim related to products' performance. All tort claims were dismissed on motion practice based on the applicability of the economic loss doctrine. 
  • Representing a municipality in an appeal of an eminent domain relocation case, when the issue was adequacy of comparable replacement property under Wisconsin eminent domain statutes and administrative regulations.
  • Representing national truckstop owner and related fee title owner in complex eminent domain dispute involving access rights. 
  • Representing a municipality in the negotiation of relocation and moving expense rights in a complicated eminent domain relocation case.
  • Representing a municipality in eminent domain proceedings brought by the former owner of a restaurant property, acquired after significant flooding.
  • Representing a landowner against the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) in eminent domain challenges to access rights limitations placed in Award of Damages issued by WisDOT.
  • Representing an auto dealership in a condemnation action in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, after partial taking by Department of Transportation. The case was settled at over three times the condemnor’s jurisdictional offer.
  • Defending a major transformer manufacturer in a $6 million fire case pending in Mason County, Kentucky, where the plaintiff alleged that our client’s product started the fire. The matter was settled on very favorable terms on the eve of the trial.
  • Representing a cellular tower owner in a fraud case brought in Grand Forks County, North Dakota, against a seller who misrepresented rents received on the tower. The matter was settled on very favorable terms on the eve of the trial.
  • Representing a landowner in an eminent domain jury trial in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The jury verdict resulted in just compensation awarded to our client, of just under three times the condemning authority’s jurisdictional offer. Accordingly, the client was entitled to those additional funds and repayment of all costs and expenses of litigation.
