Quarles & Brady Attorneys Inducted into Chicago Chapter of Lambda Alpha International
CHICAGO, ILL. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that
Everett S. Ward and Theodore I. Yi, attorneys with the Firm’s Chicago office, have been inducted into the Ely (Chicago) chapter of Lambda Alpha International, the Honorary Society for the Advancement of Land Economics (“LAI”).
Everett Ward is a partner in the Real Estate Group, and has practiced real estate law since 1986. He has represented corporate, commercial and not-for-profit clients concerning the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of commercial, industrial and residential real property, including hotels, industrial properties, mixed-use properties, manufactured housing developments, multifamily developments, office buildings and shopping centers. Mr. Ward is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, where he is a former chair and vice chair of the Real Estate Investment Trust Committee. Ward received his law degree from Harvard Law School and his undergraduate degree from Princeton University.
Ted Yi is also a partner in the Real Estate Group. His extensive and varied real estate experience includes a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, with a particular focus on commercial lease transactions representing both owners and users of office, retail and industrial properties. He represents institutional landlords, such as insurance companies, pension funds and corporate users of properties. In particular, he has represented a number of Fortune 250 corporations in connection with relocations of their corporate headquarters. Mr. Yi is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He earned his law degree from Harvard Law School and his B.S. and B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Lambda Alpha International, a multidisciplinary organization, was founded in 1930 under the leadership of the renowned land economist and champion of academic freedom, Richard T. Ely. As an honorary society, it provides a forum for the study and advancement of land economics where the “winnowing and sifting” of ideas takes place in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
