August - It's summer, my birthday, and has such nice, long days.
What inspires you?
The feeling of positive progress.
If you chose a quote to live by, what would it be?
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you have imagined (Thoreau, loosely quoted).
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Avoiding direct answers to deeply personal questions all these years! Really it's hard to say; I don't think I've accomplished it yet!!
What has been your most embarrassing experience at Q&B?
I choked on a sip of water at lunch with poor Jennifer Nackley and narrowly missed coughing water on her/in her food.
What experience at Q&B has been the most fun?
We had a great litigation retreat with Tampa a couple of years ago!
What advice would you give to a law student?
Explore a number of different areas of law while you can, so you can sort out what you like.
What is your greatest professional success?
Winning a highly contested and fairly complex case through multiple evidentiary hearings and an appeal.
What class should you have taken in law school?
Who has given you the best advice about practicing law and what was that advice?
One of my mentors in town encouraged me to practice in an area that I really enjoy, because your interest in the subject will sustain you through the inevitable tough times that arise over the years.
What makes you laugh?
My fun-loving husband, Beau, and our overgrown, goofy puppy, Gus.
What is the best thing about Q&B?
Wonderful, caring, and fun people!
What do you do for fun?
I love getting out on the water, particularly hunting for lobster.
What is great about working in Naples?
Naples is a beautiful town with great weather, restaurants, beaches, and people.
