What is your favorite drink?
What is your favorite month?
November. The weather is perfect and Thanksgiving is a great holiday.
What inspires you?
At this point in life, I get the most inspiration from my six-month-old son.
If you chose a quote to live by, what would it be?
Don't count the days, make the days count. -Muhammad Ali
What is your greatest accomplishment?
My family. I have a wonderful wife and son and I'm also fortunate to have the rest of my family nearby in Southwest Florida.
What has been your most embarrassing experience at Q&B?
One morning, a couple weeks after starting at the firm, I got a ride to court with a colleague and left my car at a parking lot near the office where he picked me up. On the way back we were talking and ended up driving right past my car, so as we were walking into the office (shortly before lunch) I had to ask him if he wanted to go out to lunch, somewhere near where my car was parked…
What experience at Q&B has been the most fun?
Our end-of-summer party was a lot of fun. It was great to see everyone outside the office.
What advice would you give to a law student?
It's really important to get involved in organizations, clinics and externships because those things will introduce you to what the practice of law really involves and what sort of opportunities are out there.
What is your greatest professional success?
During the first few years of my career I did a lot of researching and writing that helped our clients obtain significant victories in complex litigations, including helping the defendants secure a global settlement in the Chinese Drywall Litigation and helping a branded pharmaceutical manufacturer defeat class certification and obtain a favorable verdict at trial in a large antitrust case. Working on those types of complex cases and issues gave me the confidence to tackle anything.
What class should you have taken in law school?
Who has given you the best advice about practicing law and what was that advice?
Although the law is a very specialized field, lawyers should always be able to speak with their clients or anyone else in plain English. One of the most important skills to being a good lawyer is being able to explain complex issues in a comprehensible way, whether it's to judges or non-lawyers. Multiple people have given me this advice.
What makes you laugh?
My six-month-old son, almost non-stop.
What is the best thing about Q&B?
The quality of the attorneys. I've been continuously impressed with how knowledgeable and skilled our attorneys are.

Spend time with family. We also like to travel, usually to the mountains, and relax at the beach.
What is great about working in Naples?
Naples offers great professional opportunities without having to live in a city. We also have some great beaches and state parks nearby.
