If you chose a quote to live by, what would it be?
"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." -Calvin Coolidge

Convincing my wife to let me take her on our first date.

Stay opened minded about your legal career and avoid pigeonholing yourself based on your preconceived notions about the law. The practice of law is wonderfully complex, and you will likely end up specializing in an area you did not know existed.
What is your greatest professional success?
Landing a job at Quarles. The firm became my top choice after I read the recruitment page while preparing for my on campus interview. The firm projected itself as having a caring, diverse, people-oriented atmosphere. Since joining the firm as a summer associate, not one day has passed where this has not been the absolute truth.
What class should you have taken in law school?
Criminal procedure. If only because my non-lawyer friends seem to think it is a subject with which all lawyers are familiar.
Who has given you the best advice about practicing law and what was that advice?
The judge I worked for after my first year of law school. Quoting Aaron Burr: Law is whatever is boldly asserted and plausibly maintained.

My incredibly lazy golden retriever.
What is the best thing about Q&B?
Its commitment to its people.
What do you do for fun?
Cheering on the Florida Gator football team. Traveling. Running. Binge watching Netflix.
