Professional Experience
Luke Kohtala is a member of the Firm's Intellectual Property Group. His practice focuses on counseling clients to develop and utilize their intellectual property to further their business goals and objectives. Mr. Kohtala’s recent experience includes:
- Drafting and prosecuting U.S. utility and design patent applications.
- Coordinating the prosecution of foreign patent applications.
- Preparing patentability, right to practice, and patent validity opinions.
- Negotiating and drafting intellectual property licenses and technology-related agreements.
- Providing research and support services for intellectual property litigation.
Technical Experience
Mr. Kohtala’s technical experience includes working for a multinational paper-based consumer product corporation where he gained experience in machine component assembly and reliability.
