For more than 20 years, lawyers in the Madison office have played key roles in helping clients find creative solutions to a wide variety of legal and regulatory problems. The expertise of the lawyers in the Madison office reflects the strength and breadth of the economy of the greater Madison Metropolitan area.
Recognized in some of the most prestigious venues as The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA, “Greater Madison’s Most Civic-Minded Leaders” and “Top Lawyers in Dane County,” our attorneys, including a former securities commissioner and a former chair and PSC commissioner, are clear choices for quality of character, expertise and community commitment.
From research and technology, to corporate services, healthcare, immigration and litigation, our Madison attorneys are well equipped to provide a full range of legal services to all business sectors. Advising clients such as WARF (Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation), Epic Systems, Kraft and Oscar Mayer Food Corporation — just to name a few — we provide a myriad of expertise in a collaborative manner that crosses practice areas which afford our clients the opportunity to “one-stop shop.”
Our Commitment to the Community
Holding key positions in such local organizations as The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, United Way of Dane County, Downtown Madison, Inc., Forward Wisconsin, Inc., Madison Downtown Rotary, Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation, Wisconsin Foundation for the Arts and Friends of Monona Terrace, our attorneys understand that our community is the core of their professional and personal success. From the Boys and Girls Club to the United Way of Dane County, our attorneys and staff are committed to giving back to Madison and the outlying communities in which we live. Our annual participation in activities including the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Safe Harbor of Dane County Run/Walk, American Red Cross Blood Drives, Second Harvest Food Bank’s Annual Food Drive and the United Way’s Day of Caring keep us keenly attuned to the needs and our responsibility to the community.
In addition to our charitable activities, we recognize that there are some who cannot afford to retain the services of an attorney but who deserve quality representation. Our attorneys are committed to providing pro bono services to those in our community and abroad. In recognition of his commitment to the community, one of our partners received the 2003 Individual Lawyer of the Year Award for Pro Bono Service Award. Our attorneys volunteer their time and talent to the Dane County Bar Association in a number of capacities, such as the Volunteer Staffing Day in various Bar case mediations. We also provide pro bono services to such organizations as United Way of Dane County, Forward Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin Law School Moot Court and HIPAA Collaborative of Wisconsin. One of our pro bono clients is Nyumbani Village International located in the African country of Kenya, whose mission is to create self-sustaining communities for homeless children and elders whose lives have been decimated by the AIDS pandemic.
A close-knit group of attorneys practice in the Madison office. We work hard to foster an inclusive environment where everyone is valued for their contribution toward one goal: to provide excellent client service. We recognize that teamwork is key to achieving this goal. In addition, we have a culture that encourages open communication and respect among colleagues which fosters a great deal of pride within our organization.
