Quarles & Brady Attorneys Elected Officers of the Milwaukee Bar Association
 

MILWAUKEE, WISC. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that Rachel A. Schneider, a partner with the Firm, has been elected the 152nd president of the Milwaukee Bar Association (the “MBA”). Patricia A. Hintz, also a partner with the Firm, has been reinstalled as Secretary/Treasurer of the MBA. Both will serve one-year terms.

Ms. Schneider focuses her practice on Environmental Law. She has experience with a wide array of environmental and regulatory issues in the context of compliance, property development, transactions and enforcement. In addition, she resolves contribution and cost recovery claims, enforcement proceedings, insurance coverage disputes for clients, and manages legacy sites portfolios. Ms. Schneider received her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Macalester College.

In her role as president, Ms. Schneider aims to improve access to justice throughout the Milwaukee community. She continues to promote pro bono services for those in need, including her unwavering support of the Milwaukee Justice Center. She was recently honored by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of 2010’s Women in the Law.

Ms. Hintz practices in the area of tax law. She focuses her practice on tax and tax-exempt organizations, including servicing public and private corporations, S corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, nonprofit organizations and individuals on a wide variety of federal, state and local tax matters. In addition to her law practice, she is a certified public accountant in Wisconsin. Ms. Hintz earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, her M.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University. She has served as Secretary/Treasurer of the MBA since 2001.
