Professional Experience
Melissa Manning focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including class action, breach of contract, foreclosure, fraud and securities litigation.
Representative Experience includes:
- Defending a union against a class action instituted by union members alleging a breach of the duty of fair representation.
- Successfully defending a consumer financial services corporation against a class action alleging violations of the National Housing Act and Housing and Urban Development regulations and breach of contract.
- Representing the former officer of a closed bank against a securities class action.
- Representing a pro bono client in a first degree murder trial.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Manning clerked for Chief Judge Robert L. Miller, Jr. of the Northern District of Indiana.
