Spake Installed as President of the Collier County Women’s Bar Association07/08/16
NAPLES, Fla. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Christen L. Spake, an attorney in the firm’s Naples office, has been installed as President of the Collier County Women’s Bar Association (CCWBA). Spake previously served as vice president of the CCWBA and becomes the third consecutive representative from Quarles & Brady to lead the organization.
The purpose of the CCWBA is the “promotion, recognition and encouragement of the contributions of women within the legal profession and judiciary, improvement of the administration of justice and the elevation of judicial standards, promotion of the study of law particularly among women, dissemination of legal knowledge to all members of the community and improvement of relations between members of the Bar, judiciary and public.” Spake will serve a one-year term as president of the organization.
“Quarles & Brady is very active in the Collier County Women’s Bar Association and many of our attorneys have served on its board of directors over the past 20-plus years,” said Spake. “I am proud to continue this tradition and take the helm of this organization which is full of talented and diverse individuals.”
A native of Southwest Florida, Spake practices in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She provides advice and counsel in the areas of commercial and fiduciary litigation and works with clients to resolve issues they face in business, commerce, guardianship, probate and trust, and real property transactions. She implements litigation and negotiation tactics to obtain practical, timely and cost-effective resolutions tailored to her client’s, including business owners, financial institutions, fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
Spake earned her law degree from Florida State University and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Wingate University.
