Davis Honored Among Business Observer’s “40-Under-40”

NAPLES, FLA. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Kelly Lyon Davis, a partner in the firm’s Naples office, has been named to the Business Observer’s annual “40-Under-40” list. Honorees are high-achieving, young business professionals from a variety of industries in Southwest Florida from Marco Island north to Tampa, who have distinguished themselves in their professions and the community. Davis is featured in the newspaper’s October 16, 2015 issue.

Davis practices in the Labor and Employment Practice Group, providing advice and counsel to employers and representing employers in defense of workplace-related litigation. This includes litigating wage-and-hour collective actions, consulting with employers to implement appropriate strategies and policies for workplace compliance matters, advising employers as they establish new employment and independent contractor relationships, including drafting of restrictive covenants, and resolving a variety of disputes arising from employee separations.

Davis has been listed in Florida Super Lawyers® - Rising Stars (2009–present), received a Special Recognition Award from the Legal Aid Service of Collier County (2009), and is on the Board of Trustees for St. Matthew’s House. In 2014, she was honored as one of Gulfshore Business magazine’s 12th annual “40-Under-40” business professionals.

Davis received her J.D. (magna cum laude, 2006) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A. (highest distinction, with honors, 2000) from the Pennsylvania State University.
