David Brunori is Named a Fellow for the American College of Tax Counsel

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce that the partner David Brunori has been elected as a fellow at the American College of Tax Counsel.

Members of the College are recognized as leaders who have made significant contributions within their respective field. Members undergo a rigorous screening process prior to being elected as Fellows of the College.

The College brings together lawyers who collaborate on tax policy, and engage in thoughtful discussion with the government regarding issues impacting the tax system. The organization advises Congress and the Internal Revenue Service on how to evolve nation’s tax laws and how those laws should be interpreted and administered. The College also provides guidance for the judicial system by filing “friend of the court” briefs in select tax cases.

Brunori is a member of the firm's Business Law and Tax practice groups. His practice focuses on advising clients on wide range of state and local tax issues.  He is a nationally recognized expert on state and local tax laws. In addition to practicing law, he serves as a research professor of law and public policy at The George Washington University where he teaches state and local tax law and public finance.

He received his J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.A, with honors, from The George Washington University.
