Quarles & Brady Attorney Receives Business Journal Honor
PHOENIX, AZ ─ The national law firm of Quarles & Brady is pleased to announce that Jessica Franken, Chair of the firm's Phoenix Intellectual Property Practice, was named among the 25 outstanding Women in Business by
The Business Journal of Phoenix. She is the only lawyer in private practice named to this illustrious group.
The women were honored at the Women in Business Trade Show & Luncheon, an annual event sponsored by The Business Journal of Phoenix. Finalists were picked from all industries based on their leadership abilities, decisiveness, commitment to community and career accomplishments.
Franken is an experienced transactional lawyer and business executive who works with companies to protect their intellectual property. She also has extensive experience advising employers on the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants, employee terminations, investigations, employer policies and compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws. Prior to joining Quarles & Brady in 2007, Franken served as Assistant General Counsel for the Honeywell Inc. Industrial Automation and Control Division and served as Corporate Secretary and Director of Human Resources and Communications for a national construction company.
A graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law, she received her law degree,
high distinction, in 1987. She also received a master's degree in Communication,
summa cum laude, in 1984. She graduated from the University of Arizona,
honors and
high distinction, in 1981.
