Elizabeth S. Fella Elected Treasurer of Humane Society of Southern Arizona Board of Directors08/04/14
TUCSON, AZ — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Elizabeth S. Fella, an associate in the firm’s Tucson office, has been elected treasurer of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona’s board of directors.
The Humane Society of Southern Arizona offers a variety of services, including vaccinations, microchipping and pet therapy. They also offer education programs for adults and children to learn how to care properly for pets. The HSSAZ was founded in 1944 and serves the areas of Tucson and Southern Arizona.
“I’m honored to have been elected not only as treasurer but also as chair of the finance and investment committee,” Fella said. “I’m looking forward to working with everyone on the board, in an organization that shares the passion I have for animals.”
Fella is a member of the Commercial Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, where she focuses on representing local and national companies in complex contract disputes, complex financial restructuring negotiations and related litigation.
She was named a Southwest Super Lawyers® Rising Star in 2014 and was named a “40 Under 40” honoree by the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2013. Fella received her law degree, cum laude, from Arizona State University College of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Arizona.
