Johnson Presents at ABA Law Division Women Rainmakers Mid-Career Workshop11/12/14
NAPLES, FLA. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Kimberly Leach Johnson, firm chair and a partner in the firm’s Naples office, spoke at the fifth American Bar Association (ABA) Law Practice Division Women Rainmakers Mid-Career Workshop in San Diego.
The mission of the ABA Women Rainmakers is to educate professional women about business development and provide mentoring and networking opportunities. The workshop is purposefully small (limited to 150 attendees) so that personal relationships develop and effective interaction takes place among attendees and faculty. Individual speakers are volunteers chosen for their professional expertise.
"It was an incredibly gratifying experience to be among such energetic and impressive leaders in the industry," noted Johnson. "I'll cherish the opportunity to learn from so many powerful stories and perspectives over the course of the seminar, as well as share my own."
Johnson presented on “Whatever You’re Selling, They’re Not Buying It.” The seminar was geared toward teaching women how to successfully build a book of business and how to serve their clients and add value. She also addressed the building blocks of a successful legal practice that subordinate gender roles and focus on what all attorneys must do to achieve success and command authority in the workplace.
Johnson practices in the area of trusts and estates. She has extensive experience representing families in the planning of their estates and the handling of affairs after individuals pass away. Johnson was named Woman Lawyer of the Year by the Collier County Women’s Bar Association in 2011 and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, her LL.M. degree from the University of Miami, and her bachelor’s degree from Anderson College. Johnson has received several professional honors, including having been recently listed among the Top 50 Woman Florida Super Lawyers® and among The Best Lawyers in America®.
