Quarles & Brady Executive Director Named to Madison Superintendent’s Teaching and Learning Transition Team

MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that its executive director John J. Peterburs has been named a member of Madison Metropolitan School District Superintendent Jennifer Cheatham's Teaching and Learning Transition Team. He will serve on the Performance-Based Culture and Central Office Structure, and Professional Learning committees.

The eight-member assembly of national and local experts, hand selected by Cheatham, will meet with principals, staff, parents and community members to gather and review a variety of data on school and student performance. The team's goal is to assist the district in identifying the highest-leverage strategies and goals for ensuring every student is college- and career-ready.

"Instruction and leadership are critical components of systematic improvement," said Superintendent Cheatham. "This team of local and national practitioners will join district and school staff in assessing and analyzing strengths, areas of opportunities and priorities for improving teaching and learning in Madison schools."

He oversees all business and administrative support functions of the firm, including business development, facilities, finance, human resources, information & technology, marketing and office services.
