Quarles & Brady Opens Indianapolis Office

News Release

MILWAUKEE, WIS. – The law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced the opening of its Indianapolis office, the firm’s ninth location nationwide. The new office will be located in the BMO Harris Plaza, at 135 North Pennsylvania Street.

“We are excited to have an Indianapolis platform to serve our clients and bring the strengths of our firm to serve the Indianapolis business community,” said Firm Chair Kimberly Leach Johnson. “The Indianapolis attorneys joining our firm, as well as our attorneys from other offices who will spend significant time in Indianapolis, are veterans of the legal industry, with particular strengths in litigation, regulatory and transactional health care, financial services, intellectual property, product liability and toxic tort defense, and middle-market consultation, augmenting some of our signature areas of practice.”

Former Frost Brown Todd litigators Joshua B. Fleming, Daniel M. Long, Lucy R. Dollens and Joel E. Tragesser will be joining Quarles & Brady as partners in the new office. In addition, former Krieg DeVault partner Kristen L. Gentry will be joining the firm, also as a partner.

“My partners and I are excited to be a part of Quarles & Brady’s efforts to offer the firm’s core strengths in key practice areas to our clients in Indiana,” said Fleming. “Quarles has a national reach, combined with an engrained Midwestern culture that goes back more than a century, which we believe Indiana-based clients will find very appealing.”

Indiana clients will further benefit from long-time Indianapolis attorney Randall R. Fearnow, whose health law practice in Indiana will be enhanced by the establishment of Quarles’ new office. Fearnow, along with Edward D. Rickert, Jeffery M. Monberg (also an Indiana-based attorney and a graduate of Notre Dame and Indiana University School of Law) and Mark W. Bina, all formerly of Krieg DeVault, joined Quarles & Brady in April.

“Quarles is a great platform for serving our Indiana clients,” Fearnow said. “We have interconnected offices across the country and a tight network of attorneys serving clients in every major area of law, plus a number of specialty practices in significant or fast-growing areas such as financial services, health care, franchise, IP litigation, research institutions and outside general counsel services.”

The news of Quarles locating in Indianapolis has not gone unnoticed by Andrew R. Klein, dean of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. “Several of the new Quarles partners are alumni of IU McKinney Law, and it’s wonderful that they have decided to stay and practice law here,” said Klein. “It’s also satisfying to have a well-respected firm like Quarles & Brady become a member of the Indianapolis legal community.”

Quarles & Brady intends to be an active member of the Indianapolis community, as the firm has a long history of extensive community service, embraced by civic-minded lawyers and staff members alike. The firm is committed to supporting and sustaining its local communities through its Quarles Cares program and pro bono services, reflecting an ongoing devotion to making the communities Quarles calls “home” better places to live.
