Quarles & Brady Welcomes Four Attorneys to its Phoenix Office

PHOENIX, ARIZ. - The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that David L. Blackledge, Stephanie P. King, Benjamin C. Nielsen and Lara M. Rhodes have joined the firm as associates in the Phoenix office. Blackledge and King join the firm's Corporate Services Group, while Nielsen joins the Commercial Litigation Group, and Rhodes joins the Real Estate Group.

About the Attorneys: 

David Blackledge joins the firm as an associate in the Corporate Services Practice Group. While in law school, Blackledge served as a judicial extern for the Maricopa County Superior Court, Civil Division. Prior to going to law school, he worked for 30 years in sales and operations management in venture-backed start-ups focusing on emerging technologies. Blackledge is an active angel investor in the Arizona Technology Investor Forum ("ATIF") group and volunteers in a number of civic and professional organizations including ASU SkySong and the Arizona Commerce Authority. He received his law degree from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, his master's, with honors, from George Washington University and his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University. 

Stephanie King also joins the firm as an associate in the Corporate Services Practice Group. While in law school, King served as a judicial extern for the Honorable David G. Campbell at the United States District Court, District of Arizona. She received both her law degree, magna cum laude, and undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Arizona State University. 

Benjamin Nielsen joins the firm as an associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. While in law school, Nielsen served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge John M. Roll, Federal Court of Tucson, Arizona before working as a legislative intern for United States Senator Jon Kyl, Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Nielsen also volunteered with the Volunteer Lawyer's Program, the Child and Family Law Clinic, and Lawyer's for Literacy. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Northern Arizona University. 

Lara Rhodes joins the firm as an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group. While in law school, Rhodes served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Gemmill, Arizona Court of Appeals before working as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Campbell, United States District Court, District of Arizona. She was an active member in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, where she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and St. Vincent de Paul. She was also on the executive board of the Law Journal for Social Justice and was dedicated to raising awareness for the journal and its mission. She received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Drexel University.
