Rena Upshaw-Frazier Selected as Editor of Lawyer Magazine

TAMPA, FLA. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Rena J. Upshaw-Frazier, an associate in the firm’s Tampa office, has been selected as Editor of Lawyer magazine for the 2013-2014 year. Lawyer is the award-winning official publication of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA).

As Editor, Upshaw-Frazier will be responsible for editing the content of the magazine's seven issues, authoring the Editor's Message for each issue, and appointing members of the Editorial Board. Previously she served as Co-Chair of the HCBA's Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section.

Upshaw-Frazier is a trial attorney in Quarles & Brady’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Her practice primarily focuses on matters involving real property, including commercial and residential leasing, contract issues, matters pertaining to acquisition, disposition, and development, easements and land boundaries, lien foreclosures, brokerage and commission disputes and title issues. She also handles a range of commercial litigation matters pertaining to business torts and contract disputes, financial services, and collection matters. She has extensive litigation and trial experience and is involved in all phases of dispute resolution, from pre-litigation negotiation, to mediations, through jury and bench trials.

Upshaw-Frazier earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law and her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering from the University of South Florida.
