Two Quarles & Brady Attorneys Selected as Recipients of the 2012 Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona Award05/17/12
PHOENIX, ARIZ. - The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Deanna Conn, a partner in the Firm's Tucson office, and Lyzzette M. Bullock, an associate in the Firm's Phoenix office were selected as recipients of the 2012 Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona award by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education.
The Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona award was instituted in 2001 to recognize attorneys who have tirelessly given their time and expertise to assist Arizonans who would otherwise have no legal resources. Conn was nominated by the Southern Arizona Legal Aid Volunteer Lawyers Program and Bullock was nominated by Community Legal Services. The award will be presented to all honorees at a Thank You reception on September 14 in Phoenix.
Conn practices in the areas of commercial and intellectual property litigation, intellectual property transactions, internet law, e-commerce, licensing and technology transactions, copyright, trademark and trade secrets. She also specializes in advising direct selling companies on online distribution policies and regulatory compliance issues. Earlier this year, Conn was elected as President of the Southern Chapter of the Arizona Women Lawyers' Association and was also named the Volunteer Lawyers Program's Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney for the month of April. Conn received her law degree, with honors, from Columbia University, and her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Pomona College.
Bullock is a member of the Commercial Litigation and Health Law Practice Groups. Her experience includes representing corporations in complex contract disputes, defending product manufactures in the context of property damage and catastrophic injury, and advising health law clients regarding pharmaceutical laws and regulations, including pharmacy, pharmacist, and physician compliance at both the state and federal levels. She serves on the board of directors of NiJeL, Inc. and Maricopa County Bar Association, and is a member of Arizona Women Lawyers Association and the Horace Rumpole American Inn of Court. Bullock earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law school and her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Spanish from Wellesley College.
