William Walden Named to Lawyers of Color’s 2014 Hot List

CHICAGO, IL — Quarles & Brady LLP is pleased to announce William Walden, an associate at the firm, has been named to the Lawyers of Color Second Annual Hot List. The honor recognizes early to mid-career minority attorneys working as in-house counsel, government attorneys, and law firm associates and partners.

Honorees were chosen by a selection committee after reviewing nominations from mentors, peers and colleagues. The selection committee also researched bar association publications and legal blogs to identify promising candidates and made selections of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments, especially those active in legal pipeline initiatives.

Each individual will be profiled in Lawyers of Color’s Hot List 2014 Issue, released July 28, and those from the Midwest region will also be celebrated at a reception hosted by Quarles & Brady on July 14.

Walden practices in Quarles & Brady LLP’s Labor & Employment group. His practice focuses on litigation defense, arbitration, counseling and advice on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including federal and state discrimination actions, whistleblower claims, restrictive covenants in employment and OFCCP regulatory compliance for federal contractors.

William graduated cum laude with a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
