Professional Experience
Paul Jacobson is the chair of the Firm’s Employee Benefits Group. He has extensive experience representing corporate clients in all aspects of employee benefits, including design, implementation and administration of tax qualified retirement plans, executive compensation arrangements and health and other welfare benefits plans. His recent experience includes:
  • Representation of corporate clients in connection with benefits issues presented in stock and asset purchase transactions and corporate reorganizations.

  • Advising employers regarding design and implementation of early retirement incentive programs.

  • Providing advice regarding fiduciary procedures and responsibilities in connection with retirement and 401(k) plan investments, including employer stock and mutual fund issues.

  • Representation of retirement plan sponsors before the Internal Revenue Service in connection with the cure of operational errors in the administration of tax qualified retirement plans.
