Sarah Ames advises multinational companies, especially German-speaking ones, and their U.S. subsidiaries on corporate, commercial, employment and immigration matters, always with an eye on practical and efficient solutions while avoiding litigation if possible. A native German speaker, she serves as outside general counsel and assists clients on a variety of business law issues, including qualifications, restructuring and corporate maintenance, general contract questions, employment matters, and visa and immigration issues. Sarah represents clients of all sizes in a wide variety of industries, including:

She is part of a team of German-speaking attorneys across the firm’s Business Law, Labor & Employment, Immigration and Litigation & Dispute Resolution groups.

  • Prepares and counsels on various agreements, including terms and conditions of sale, lease agreements, and sales and distribution agreements.
  • Guides companies on employment matters such as employment agreements, handbooks, disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Counsels companies on transferring and hiring foreign nationals, filing business visa applications and general immigration matters.

Sarah Ames berät multinationale, insbesondere deutschsprachige, Unternehmen und deren U.S.-Tochtergesellschaften in gesellschafts-, handels-, arbeits- und einwanderungsrechtlichen Angelegenheiten, immer mit dem Ziel, pragmatische und effiziente Lösungen zu finden und Gerichtsverfahren möglichst zu vermeiden.  Als deutsche Muttersprachlerin fungiert sie als externe Rechtsberaterin und unterstützt Mandanten in einer Vielzahl von wirtschaftsrechtlichen Fragen, darunter Qualifikationen, Umstrukturierungen und Unternehmensführung, allgemeine Vertragsfragen, Arbeitsangelegenheiten sowie Visa- und Einwanderungsangelegenheiten.
