In addition to understanding the nuts & bolts of these health care transactions, our lawyers appreciate the nuances of these deals and the issues they raise relative to the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark law and other applicable regulatory schemes, reimbursement, licensure, and tax and tax-exemption. The highly regulated nature of the health care industry makes it critical that transaction counsel understand how the economics and structure of a deal intersect with the applicable regulatory scheme.
