Quarles & Brady Hosts RNC 2012 Visions Luncheon For Black Conservatives
"Celebrating Black Diversity Within The GOP"

TAMPA, FLA. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP hosted the first RNC Visions Luncheon honoring the contributions of African-Americans attending the Republican National Convention in Tampa at The Avila Country Club. Pegged as one of the most anticipated events targeting African-Americans at the convention, the luncheon attracted more than 100 guests including several high-ranking Republican leaders.

Guests were treated to remarks from Florida’s Lt. Governor Jennifer S. Carroll, Congressman Allen West and Sharon Day, Co-Chairman of the RNC.

“Quarles & Brady is supporting this event as a way of encouraging diversity perspectives and to provide an opportunity for leaders around the country to get to know one another,” said John W. Daniels, Jr., Chairman. “This event is the firm’s way of acknowledging the amazing work many people are doing in their communities.”

“It was an honor to speak at this event and welcome the attendees to Florida. The Sunshine State is a diverse and vast state and we will undoubtedly play an important role in electing our next president. Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan have a vision for a better future in our nation and will implement policies to grow our economy and help businesses create jobs — policies that are important to every family,” said Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll.

“Civic and business leaders involved in the GOP and in their communities will play a critical role in winning this year's election,” said RNC Co-chairman, Sharon Day. “They are and remain our strongest economic and social supporters as we continue to work to win back the White House.”

“This is an historic moment for African-Americans in the GOP,” said Stephen Lackey, public affairs advisor and one of the event's organizers. “Not only are we growing in numbers, but we have become a pivotal force in the future of this country.”
