Professional Experience
Raphael Ramos practices in the Firm’s Environmental Group and has experience assisting clients with Clean Air Act and CERCLA-related issues. Raphael endeavors to provide quality legal advice to his clients and assist them in finding efficient and environmentally responsible solutions to their legal issues.
Raphael’s experience includes:
- Assisting a paper mill with CERCLA allocation and discovery issues in one of the largest Superfund cases in the United States.
- Assisting clients in modifying facilities in compliance with Clean Air Act NSR and PSD obligations.
- Assisting clients in pursuing contested case hearing and judicial review of Department of Natural Resource permits.
- Performing environmental due diligence on real properties in Wisconsin, California, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
- Assisting clients in the assessment of successor liability under CERCLA.
- Assisting clients in the transfer of RCRA hazardous waste permits after the acquisition of a new business.
