Professional Experience
Ray Jamieson practices litigation out of the Firm’s Milwaukee office, and focuses much of his practice in product liability defense and commercial disputes. He is national litigation counsel for the world’s largest manufacturer of mineral processing equipment, and has successfully represented equipment manufacturers in state and federal courts in more than 20 states. His recent results include:
- Summary judgment in favor of recycling equipment manufacturer in product liability action seeking $2.5 million for injuries sustained in conveyor accident.
- Dismissal of $4.5 million claim in commercial action commenced by power generator and municipality against manufacturer of ash handling system supplied for use in waste-to-energy power facility.
- Summary judgment in favor of manufacturer of portable rock crusher in product liability case arising out of injuries sustained by plaintiff when his hand was severed in drive system of rock crusher.
- Defense verdict, affirmed twice on appeal, in patent infringement action involving patents on electronic devices for monitoring movement of infants and elderly patients.
- Recovery of nearly $1 million in contract damages on behalf of marine fender manufacturer in lawsuit against supplier of defective ultra high molecular weight panels used in harbor expansion project at the Port of Barbados.
- Successful defense of manufacturer of drilling and rock crushing equipment in multiple silicosis claims arising from alleged inhalation of dust generated by client’s equipment.
