Roger N. Morris / Partner
Professional Experience
Roger Morris currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee and is chairman of Quarles & Brady’s Health & Life Sciences Industry Group. Roger has previously served as Chair of the Health Law Group and as the Firm’s marketing partner. His practice focuses on the representation of health care providers and other employers emphasizing health care and pharmacy law, employment law, pharmaceutical and medical device and products liability cases. He has represented clients in the following areas:

  • Representation of all disciplines of medical providers in multiple settings, including: setting up peer review committees, credentialing, contracting, corporate compliance programs; licensure, employment contracts; restrictive covenants, confidentiality of patient records, HIPAA and employment records. Background includes general counseling before various state and federal agencies and the Arizona State Boards of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dental Examiners, Naturopathic Examiners, Psychologist Examiners, Chiropractic Examiners, Osteopathic Examiners and the State Departments of Insurance, Health Services and Economic Security as well as Federal representation before HHS, CMS, FDA, and PRRB.

  • Pharmacy Law experience has included litigation avoidance advice as well as litigation defense and professional licensure compliance in front of all 50 state Pharmacy Boards. A special emphasis on new pharmacy technology variances, mail order pharmacy and PBM representation in front of all licensing boards. Representation of numerous prescription pharmaceutical and device manufacturers in cases involving adverse reactions to their drug products or medical devices, including defense of medical malpractice cases on behalf of medical clinics and individual practitioners. Has appeared before state and federal courts and the Food and Drug Administration.

  • Background in Employment Law includes representation of numerous private employers in matters involving employee theft, sexual harassment, discrimination, unemployment compensation claims, workers compensation claims, breach of contract, wrongful discharge claims and general employment counseling before state and federal courts and agencies in the United States, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Arizona Civil Rights Division, Arizona Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the United States Department of Labor and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.
